The Bottom Of The Hill

I have been reporting major flooding of my yard to my landlord all year.  The houses up the street all drain into the culvert between my yard and my neighbor's. The city started digging to put in a drain pipe but inexplicably stopped-leaving a 2 foot deep trench down the entire length of the back yard. It is like a raging little river when it rains.

Now I am thinking, "why didn't I think to mention this to Pops when we decided to park the 10 ton motorhome next to the house"?  I will let everyone know the answer after I spend my day off repairing the damage done to the yard when we tried to get the RV out of the mud and ended up having it towed out. Sigh.

So, yeah, it's raining

I am getting my very first taste of RV life.  It has rained all week. Water has seeped into the ceiling around the bedroom AC so Pops climbed up and applied some black goo.  Didn't stop the water but channeled it in a new direction so at least it is interesting.

Pops also came by to fill up the propane, hook up the water and turn on the water heater.  The propane fitting has a leak: add to the list for Tuesday.  The water fitting is leaking: add to the list for Tuesday.  No water=no water heater.  Poor coach is struggling to stay warm with my electric heater so I am kind of glad not to have water!

Thank goodness it is a very short walk to the bathroom in the house.  My fingers are crossed each time I try to get back in the rig.  Broken door latch:  add to the list for Tuesday.

I feel like this is a small price to pay for what I am getting in return-a new adventure in a beautiful coach.

Making a house a home

So I cleaned and swept and vacuumed. Then I had to vacuum again. I can see that keeping the floor  clean will be a challenge!

I've been itching to move my stuff in. S&M are taking her to have some repairs done next week so I have to be patient and selective. Delayed gratification really isn't my thing...

I did get some revenge on Pops when I unexpectedly and inexplicably locked the door.  Who knows what my neighbors will get up to?

It Has Arrived!

S&M parked the moho in the yard. She was so pretty and sweet. Until I tried tho open the door. Apparently she only admits the worthy:).

Once I got in, I couldn't stop until everything was packed up and stored for S&M to take home. Today I tried to clean but a sore back sent me back in the house. Maybe tomorrow?

Getting Started

S & M are on their way to Q. They will be bringing the new adventure on wheels with them on Monday and I can get started on moving what is left of my stuff in (yard sales are sure handy for cleaning out all the things I accumulated while living in my house and promptly forgot about).

Drake knows something is up.  We are both very excited even though I am the only one that knows why.
